If you know me, you know I am all about my seasonings, so much so that my goal is to have closet full different seasonings! Why? Because seasoning will bring anything, and I do mean anything you make to life! Every chance I get, on my weekly grocery haul to the farmers market, I generally buy 1-2 new seasonings to try. I believe that one way to pull you out of that little limited culinary box is to experiment with different seasonings. Heck, you can make the same baked chicken, spinach, and rice every day for a week straight, and every meal will be different simply from just using different seasonings! See, it's easy to step out of your culinary comfort zone without fearing failure!

So, I decided every week to list my favorite seasonings and herbs that every mother should have in her pantry, and 5 reasons why! This is just the 1st step... the baby step... of getting you out of that normal routine of cooking the same meals over and over.

 This week’s seasoning/herb is Sage.

  3. You can add a bit of ground sage or sage leaves to your stews.
  4. And because sage has a pleasant aroma, so you can purchase Sage extracts and create Sage fragrance soaps or incense!
