Super simple, super easy, and super yummy, is how I would describe this dressing recipe. I've been making my own salad dressing for 3 years now, and I find that it always tastes better than store-bought dressings.
With homemade dressings you have no preservatives, more personalization with whatever flavor you choose to add, and it’s always fresh tasting. So with that being said, here is my Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing that is perfect on salads, or as I have recently used it on my roasted potato salad (See next post).
BALSAMIC VINAIGRETTE DRESSING
PREP TIME: 5 MINUTES | COOK TIME: 0 | YIELDS: 1-1/2 CUPS
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- 1 tsp dried tarragon
- salt to taste
- black pepper to taste
- Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl, and whisk together.
- Place in the refrigerator for 1 hour to allow the flavors to blend.
See... super simple! This dressing is good for 7 days, and since there are no preservatives in it the oil will start to firm and clump together after a week.
So give this recipe a try, and let me know how you like it!
